If President Hinckley had any inkling of timing his exit when it could do the most good for possibly adding a slightly more positive, compassionate note to the national discussion of Mormonism due to the Romney campaign, he played this rather well. A consummate PR/media man to the end...Someone on the TV just said he's done more for the Church since anyone save Joseph Smith. Hmm, that's debatable.
Now I gotta try to have a good attitude about the Monson/Packer era...

Vegas has the over-under on "length of time before an East Coast newspaper suggests that Mitt Romney will run for president of the Mormon church if his US presidential campaign fails" at 14 1/2 hours. Just fyi.
