OK, my . . . uh, Memorial Day resolution is to get back into my own blog. For the past month or two, I've been putting all my blogging mojo into guest-blogging and commenting on other blogs, but now I think I'll refocus here and get back into more personal blogging.
Why? Because I've received some suicide threats from people who have missed my pithy, occasionally pissy entries. Actually, I'm well aware that I blog more for personal expression than to entertain or edify an audience, but the exhibitionist writer in me gets a kick out of posting it publicly to see if it provokes any response.
My goal is to do a new entry at least weekly, but I'd like to shoot for 2-3 entries per week. I find it therapeutic to do brain-dumps here.

shut up and be funny now
Dear Mr. Bigelow,
My name is Jonathan Platt. I am the grandson of David R. Berry, who flew with Lavell M. Bigelow as a dive bomber aboard the Yorktown in WWII. Based on letters written in the early 1940s, I believe they were room mates. My grandfather did not survive the war and we never knew him. I am researching his wartime experiences and understand from your blog that your family is doing the same. I would be very interested in speaking with you. I left a message for you with my phone number but can otherwise be reached at platt_@hotmail.com. I apologize for the intrusion and hope to hear from you.
Thank you,
Jon Platt
Thank you
I like your brain dumps as long as they aren't too revealing about me and as long as I don't learn anything that surprises me too much. So dump away my love.
Thank you for letting your brain take a dump on my eyes.
